no tablet? really?! hell, in that case, your art is amazing for someone who draws with a mouse..
i have photoshop, student edition. .(i got the CS3 design standard for only £120 :D)
you should really look into both the tablet and photoshop :)

Then again, my amateurish understanding of art program is low, so uh, I DO hope tablet doesent mean the same as using layers, because if thats the case, I do use layers. Cant survive withouth em. Sorry for any confusion there :)
Yup, I would be able to get Paintshop with some over 100£, or euros in my case, but since this is just a hobby, im not so sure about it... though that shading tool would be extremely useful, not forgetting some other nice features . . .
